Our Nutritional Yeast Flakes are primary grown yeast and is produced by natural fermentation - not synthetic or animal source. It is grown on sugar syrup and molasses substrate and the yeast strain is Saccharomyces cerevisiae. It is an inactive food grade nutritional yeast containing B vitamins and dietary fiber, and made up of over 1/3 protein.
